Our customer survey
Our website asks visitors to answer a short survey about what they want from a mobile mechanic. You can answer it anonymously.
- Your answers: what matters to you, the jobs you would use us for, your nearest town, where your car is usually parked, and whether you are a household or a business.
- Your contact details, only if you choose to give them: your first name and an email address or mobile number.
- How you found us: the website you came from and any campaign tag in the link (for example, from a flyer or social media post).
We do not store your IP address. To stop spam, our website keeps a scrambled, one-way version of it for up to one hour.
Why we use it
- Answers: to decide which jobs, towns and days to focus on as we set up the business. This is in our legitimate interests.
- Contact details: to contact you about Shift Mobile Mechanic. We only do this if you tick the consent box. You can withdraw your consent at any time by emailing info@shiftmobilemechanic.com or replying to any message from us.
We do not sell your data or share it with other companies for their own marketing.
Where it is kept and for how long
Survey responses are stored on our website, which is hosted by our web hosting provider, and a copy of each response is emailed to our business mailbox. We keep contact details for up to 24 months after we last contacted you, or less if you ask us to delete them. Anonymous answers may be kept for longer to help us plan.
Your browser
The survey uses your browser’s own storage to remember your progress if you reload the page, and to show the thank-you message if you come back after finishing. It does not use advertising or tracking cookies.
Your rights
You can ask to see the personal data we hold about you, to correct it, or to delete it, by emailing info@shiftmobilemechanic.com. If you are unhappy with how we have used your data, you can complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk.
